A place is a location created by human experience in contrast to space and a place’s unique atmosphere can be described as Genius loci. In order to create Genius Loci for my room of solitude with my cat as a place of refuge, I adopted the minimalistic light strip and inclined walls of Tadao Ando. A triangular door frame for the basement of my cat created a mythic path of t ravel in this small unit. It ‘s a small building in a warm hillside with plenty of sunshine.
